Anybody familier with this set up? I'm recalling the model number from memory, so I might be a digit off. It's a pull type 7' sickle bar and a conditioner that are pulled in tandem. I was wondering if they work with a fair amount of success. I have an opportunity to buy the combo cheap and was wonder the pros and cons. Email me directly and let me know.

Thanks.

Dale

Prob a 440. 475 is in the series with the 474 which is a "Haybine" (7', sickle type). The 474's are really great machines.

Not sure about the NH version, but I had a New Idea Sickle mower / Crimper combo that worked as you described. It worked OK but tended to plug easily in heavy grass hay.

Could it be a 440 mower crusher? I have a New Holland sericeman's handbook, it has the 440 mower crusher in it. That's all i know about it.
