Plowin' time?

I used to see ads for "Plow Days" after the threshing show season was done. Many of these meets were for small tractors. (Usually 3 bottom max plow.) I do not seem to see these events anymore. I liked to watch the tractors work and use my own too, instead of just idling through a parade route. Anyone know of any events coming up?

Thanks,

Seems to be a lot of them around. I know of three coming up in the next month in central Ohio and I have a friend in N Illinois that has been to a couple already. Around here most all the tractor clubs have them. They are mostly in the spring and some require club membership (insurance) The one we go to is October 19 near Columbus. Anybody can participate and they feed you dinner. Last year about 35 tractors and 100 acres turned under.

It is held at the Stambaugh farm located at the corner of Toy Road and Alum Creek Drive. From the I-270 outerbelt on the south side Columbus exit at Alum Creek Drive and go about a mile south. Stambuaghs is the only farm left between 270 and Rickenbacker Air Force Base. Starts around 9 and lasts until dark followed by dinner if you wish to stay.

Wow. Sounds like a lot of fun. I hope to locate an event like that in Mid-Minnesota. Thanks for the reply.

Watch the Litchfield paper or Advertiser next spring. Forest City Threshers has their annual plow day about the third week of April, usually Sunday afternoon. Only lucky thirteen miles NE of you!
