I have inherited my Grandpa's 2 bottom Oliver plow that he bought just after he got out of the service in 1945. Needless to say the plow is in need of some TLC. The blades and shins are worn pretty bad and I was wondering if anyone has information on where to find replacement blades, shins, bolts, and perhaps an owners manual. I assume that parts are no longer available from Oliver/AGCO, so I am turning to the kindness of strangers for help. The number on the bottoms read 218-16M or 219-16M. The rust on the back of the bottoms made the numbers hard to read. Thanks for any help with this project.

I have an old 2 bottom Oliver plow also. The only information I could find on it was a scrap of paper with Model EP8240 written on it from when I bought it from a used equipment dealer 15 years ago. I have no idea if this is the correct number: However, when I was in need of parts for it many years ago, I was finally able to find them at a "White" farm equipment dealer. I was told that Oliver was bought by White. If you can find a White tractor dealer who has been around for many years, you may have found the source for your plow parts.

Oliver & White & MM merged about 1970. Several years ago Agco bought up White.

Agco is Allis Chalmers, White/Oliver/Cockshutt, Gleaner, Minneapolis Moline, and about 10 other brands. Even Simplicity lawn equipment I believe. You could go to any of the Agco dealers to order or look up parts. Your best chance would be to find an Agco dealer that used to be an Oliver/ White dealer.

You can also check out Shoup or IT catalogs, or a farm supply store that handles many models of plow bottom - they should be in any ag community. I won't promise they handle your brand/size, but they can look in the catalog to see if it's still made. Get the model number of your plow, and even to the Agco dealer, _take an old one along_ so they can measure it out & cross-reference it, many catalogs go by # of bolt holes & distance between....

These are your best odds of finding some.
