I have found a 4 bottom land slide two way plow along a fence row. Does anyone know where to find a JD stamp on it? Also wondering if anyone knows the approx. years that these were built and what tractor was used to pull them. I would also be interested if anyone has a broad idea of its worth. Any help on any of these matters would be greatly appreciated.

Are you referring to a roll over plow? Jd made a number of different models of roll over plows. If it is 4 bottoms total, 2 going each way, could be a JD 202. In operation 2 bottoms were down and 2 lifted up off the ground, at the end of the row when lifted up it tripped so that the other 2 bottoms went down and hitch swung to the side. Think this was also made in a single bottom plow, the 101. If a roll over plow, does it have a round mechanism on the front to roll the plow over (looks kind of like a power steering mechanism on a 530) or does it have 2 cylinders working up and down. More info would help to identify

It is a roll over plow. It has 8 bottoms - 4 going each way. It also has a round hydraulic pump with 2 hoses to roll it over.

Sounds like an 845 I believe was the number. Older plow, probably 60s I think. They seemed to work ok if in decent shape. The rollover cylinder uses some of the same parts as the power steering units in 20 and 30 series. Most everyone here has gone to the plows that you just reverse the bottoms to go the other way.
