Got a 3 X 16. When I bought it, I was told it was a JD (is green with yellow tail wheel).

It's a trip plow.

It has a lever on the left as you look toward the rear to adjust the angle the plow runs.

I searched this thing all over today and there is not a number, plate, etc anywhere on it.

Anyone know what model this might be? I have a shaft broken that holds the tail wheel and I need to try to replace it.

Try 135 for trip bottoms, 125 for non trip

The F135 was the shear bolt version of the F145 semi-mount trip-back plow.

Leroy, You may be right for some years of mfg. the source I was looking at dated 9-66 clearly says 115 stiff standards and 125 for trip. I'll look at later years when I get a minute, thanks for the tip. Bob

Jerry, after you answered the questions the other guys asked, I think you may have an F125 plow. Made in the late 1960s, it was available in 2,3,4 or 5 bottom, 14" or 16", made to fit Cat 2; 3 point hitch. Came with a frame mounted landing lever or optional hydraulic cylinder. Try matching the picture in a parts catalog at a John deere dealer with what you need to verify the model. Part of what is confusing in this area is the fact that some folks call a clutch lift(power lift) plow a "trip plow" and we don't know what a guy has in mind if he uses the term "trip" to describe the lift mechanism or the trip standards as you (correctly) did. Hope this helps:) Bob

Can you post some pictures? Are there any numbers cast on any of the parts, main beams, for instance? Is it a trailer or 3pt hitch? More details please!

Sorry, I don't have a camera.

It is a three point plow. I searched all over the plow and there is not a number or aany identifying number on it anywhere.

There is a lever which adjusts the pitch of the plow by rolling it right or left as you go from notch to notch.

Does it have a box beem over the top of the frame or just braces betweem the beems?

It has two pieces of channel welded face to face to form a box and it runs all the way down at an angle on top coming toward the right rear of the tractor.
