I got an old vanbrunt drill this spring, it has wood wheels, had been kept inside and the wood parts are good but the fertilizer compartment is pretty well rusted. I think it was origionally for horses, the levers stick way out in back. Is it worth anything? I don't ever intend to use it so is it worth restoring or should I save the wheels and junk the rest? I hate to trash anything but one has only so much room to save what's worth keeping. I got it for hauling it away, the previous owner was going to junk it.

I don't know if this is of any value, but a friend just bought a 1912 Avery wooden thresher called a "Yellow Fellow" of course the old separater is painted yellow. Has been shedded almost all the time. Cost him $3000CDN. I would not be in a great hurry to get rid of old implements.

I believe I read where the last wood used on the drills was in 1933 and even then the wheels were steel. I would think a wood wheeled and boxed drill would be very desirable. If you don't need or want it, I am sure someone would buy it from you.
