If you have to buy a new needle the new needle is worth more than the baler will be with the new needle on it if you try to sell it.

If you're gonna use it personally there aint nuthin wrong with a good 66. You can maybe find another 66 beside a shed to buy for parts.

Baling with a 66 is kindly like dating ugly wimmin. They'll do whatever you want and ever thing is fine and you're happy til a friend catches you out with it and makes fun.

Don't pay much. That needle better cost more that the baler does! It's an ok baler, but I think it is the last model that uses the wad board, and those are a lot less fun to use. Like Burhead says, it's ok, but only ok....

If you don't have any of the books handy you can order the operator and repair manuals on line from NH at about 1/2 price of the dealer price.

I would get the operators manual it has all the timing marks and directions for knotter repairs anyway.

Just remember to keep it greased and don't leave it sitting out with hay in it.
