John deer round baler loose looking bales

its a mod 500 with new belts and it has a bale kick on it is there any way to get tighter looking bales,its got hyd tie and seems to be tieing ok???

I used to use a JD 550, and inside the front twine box was an adjusting screw to increase the density of the bales..... I dont know if it is the same on your baler. the JD can make very dense bales!

If you're pulling it pretty fast, the bales will be a little loose. They're ok, just ugly. You can try slowing down a little, or try this trick I discovered with ours - if you stop and let it turn for about 30 seconds before you dump it, it will tighten up some.
