These are same balers. The 336 just has 61 inch wide pickup. 1976-81. The 346 was a wider pickup 71 inches. Same years 1976-81. Both made same bale and have same plunger speed 80. I have 327 for sale if interested. Same baler just newer 1982-88

The 336 and 346 are the same size balers . the only different is 346 is wire tie , and 336 is twine, Hope this helps!!!!

No, this info is erroneous. The 336 and 346 make 14"x16" bales, and both were available in either twine or wire versions. The 346 has a wider pickup, a larger feed opening, and some heavier components in the front end (clutch, etc.) than the 336. I don't remember for sure, but the 346 may also have a faster plunger than the 336, but not a lot faster.

Right on Tim, Don't know where JD merle is getting his info but I had both a 346 twine and still have a 346 wire. The 346 is the heavy duty version set more for those of us who are custom baling for higher capacity. Its a darn good baler too!

The 348 has a stoke of 93/min verses 80 for a 336.
