I just purchased a Ford 1900 4wd over the weekend with no rotary cutter. I am looking to get one at the local tsc. It's about the only source in the area, Anyway it puts out about 28.5 at the pto. The wheels are set at about 5 1/2 feet apart. What cutter shoud I get. I'm getting mixed reviews from two different stores. 60, 66,
or 72inches? Standard duty or heavy duty? Slip clutch or shear pin? Any thoughts? Thanks!

I HAVE HEARD MIXED REVIEWS ON THE KING KUTTER. CHECK OUT THE ARCHIVES. I WOULD SUGGEST A WOODS RD7200 6' REAR DISCHARGE. CAN MOW ON BOTH SIDES WITH THIS. I USE THIS MOWER ON MY 8N. PHILIP.

i would by the king cutter, on the size the hog this is how my daddy put it to me 20 years ago, how ever wide your tractor is from one back wheel to the other thats the size of bush hog u get. now if your width is 58 inches, u buy a 60, just round up or down. thats how i learned to buy implements for my tractor and i say it works pretty good. course there are a million other ways from the ppl on this board

Bob,

If you click on the link below it will take you to a thread that gave a wide view of the size and needs for a gentleman with a 1900 Ford. Might want to start there. That 5 1/2 ft KK does sound like a good compromise.
