I have an old Rhino bush hog I want to repaint. I figure there are no concours d'elegance for old hogs, so plan to use rust converter on it, prime and follow with about three cans of Farm & Fleet Farmall Red. On the other hand, I'm not against authenticity when it doesn't cost me anything. Is there a shade of red out there that more accurately approximates the original?

I always ues massey red. It matches the 2150 IH red better than the IH red you buy at farm and fleet. It is for the newer IH tractors. Much darker red. Massey just looks good too.

RWH, I have a 50's era Servis mower (Model U) and I asked this forum on 7-29-02 about color. See my post by searching for "Servis". Servis is now Servis-Rhino and the color is now a reddish orange. I received an answer that the old Servis color was similar to "OSHA Yellow". Rhino has a websight and from there you can find a local dealer if you want to see their new equipment in the orange color. I need to do some welding on mine and will probably paint it OSHA Yellow afterwards so it will contrast with my Farmall H.
The Servis-Rhino link is below:

Thanks for the link. It's definitely more orangey than Farmall red. May have to do some checking with them.
