I'm going to an auction later this week that has an older IH 2 bottom plow with a mechanical lift. I'm assuming it has the plow points that attach with an eye bolt and a hook on the plow point. My question is: is this type of plow point still available? Can the plow be converted to use newer points if necessary? I'd like to get the plows to use with my Farmall H.

Yes, Im told that you can change the moldboard and Plowshare (You have to change the board in order to get the new style plow shares to fit it. I havnt tried it as yet as I still have good shares for mine, and the fact that it costs over $100.00 each share & moldboard. I called the company and asked them about the conversion, but they wouldnt commment themnselves. A guy wrote me that he had done the changeover and that on your type of plow and it worked fine. Seems like you would have to get the share and moldboard aligned just right or it would just skim the ground, or it would hog in and pull hard. I dont know. Hope to find out someday. I also have a 1 bottom IHC pull type rope trip, and a 2 bottom IHC rope trip, and a 3 bottom Case Centinneal rope trip, all steek wheeled. Good luck
