Anybody know what a JD 8' wheel disc w/o cylinder
should go for at an auction in the midwest?
It's all there, wheels are ok shape, the discs are
intact, and bearings are ok. No cylinder.

I basically stole an 8' JD disk that has no cylinder and needs some front discs replaced but has good bearings. Paid $30 for it in northeast KS. Another testament to being in the right place at the right time.

That is an item that REALLY depends on who else shows up - I see them go $200, & $600 - same condition, same general area. If you are hitting a rural _farm_ sale it should be cheaper - if you are in a suburban, farmsite area/sale it will be higher.

Was at one sale where a 10' went $600 - folks just wanted that little disk for their farmsite. At the same auction, a better disk with folding wings went $400 - if you put the wings up, it would be about 10' - plus spare parts from the wings. Hum, people weren't thinking...

I sold my JD 10' disk without a cylinder in excellent condition this spring for $500 here in Ohio.
