Massy fergison 560 round bailer tail gate???help

ever since i had this bailer the rear tail gate opens up on its own on the lh side, iv checked all hyd,s for leaks and tryed adusting the locks as well, tail gate is not bent,seem to do it at when then bail is at half way point, would like to repair it, it dose make nice bales if the gate dosen,t open,but seems to be getting worse as i use it more,iv also checked the top piviot piont as well seems to be ok,and the tracktor controls are ok, but is is a headeak somtime

we have a 560 and it has never opened it. sure sounds like you have a ram that is leaking at the packing in side or the hyd. valve on your tractor is leaking in side. first try a differnt tractor if you havent already then do a pressure test on the hyd. to see if it holds a pressure on the line when the gate is closed

Don't know anything about Fergys but it sounds like the cylinder on that side is leaking pressure, probably needs new seals.
