The Ford 501 sickle bar that I had been using to cut hay finally died this year. I'm wanting to find a haybine but have no experience with them. A NH 469 is listed in this weeks trading paper. What horsepower is required to run a 469 and does it require remote hydraulics? I've been using a '63 Ford 2000 to mow and bale with a JD 24T.
Thanks for the help!

We had a '66 Ford 3000 and it was all it wanted. Did it only once. Ford 5000 ('65) was a nice fit.

35 HP min. so say most 9' mower-conditioner (haybine) manuals. Every mo/co I've seen needs a remote cylinder.
