This question was ask a few days ago but caught it just as it was going off the forum, so i will ask again any help is worth trying.I have a 275 NH baler and it makes the most lop sided bales you ever seen.I have tried every thing the book says do and nothing seems to help.Standing behind the baler the right side is tight and the left side is very loose, to the point you can't even pick them up without breaking.I have tried small and large rows, the smaller seem to help a little going as slow as i can.I am baling berbuda grass dry for horses ,should the moisture make that much difference.any help would be appreciated.thanks ken

ON the side that is tight adjust the tension spring more. This is located back by the thrower. There is one on each side. This will cause more hay to be forced into the other side where it is loose. Baleing grass is hard due to it being slick and not much restance going through the baler. It make take a few turns of the adjustment to get it right. due a few turns then bale a few bales and check them may need more turns then.

i'd check your feeder over really good. are all of your feeder fingers there? are they worn off too short? check against new ones. sometimes the middle set of fingers cause the problem. how about penetration of the feeder into the plunger bale chamber? do you know how to adjust the penetration? have you cleaned out the whole baler and turn over by hand and watch the whole feeding system operate slowly. is the knife sharp and clearance between them adjusted properly? have a 273 and the bales are not that good. the feeder is known for this. get a different baler. a packer fork systen i.e.John Deere 24T or 336 makes a better shaped bale.
