Last week I bought a No 9 mower in good shape. It had been sitting in a barn for years, so the story goes. I cleaned it up. Put in new seals and painted it. When I went to install it on my 720 Deere I found it to be a quite a pain to get on. I had to move the brackets that clamp over the lift arms, but good news they were the correct ones for my lift arms. I did not have a book so I do not know how Deere recommends to go about installing them. I managed to get it on after about 2 hours with a floor jack on shop floor. It seems to me there must be a better way to do this. I did a lot of experimenting and figured out how to adjust the center member. Anyway I was pleased with how it mowed. It has a very high lift to the bar. If some one could post instructions or E_mail me on how to get it on and off I would appreciate it. I plan to order a manual soon. In the meantime I may need to remove it. Thanks
