Looks like I have to get rid of a whole lot of milkweed that has come up in my grain ... I mean alot. The milkweed is about 8 inches above the grain so I figured to make some sort of a wick deal that would rub the milkweed with roundup above the grain when it comes into flower and knock it out. I thought a 12 foot piece of plastic pipe with end caps, a tee in the middle with a bunch of very small holes drilled in it, wrapped with some sort of cloth or foam, then the pipe is fed with roundup through some system dumping into the tee in the middle. Does anyone have any experience with something like this. If I don't do something I doubt my grain will be worth a pinch.

Thanks in advance
Kevin

Know any row-crop farmers in your area? I'll bet there are some weed-wipers/rope wicks/pipe wicks laying around in their junk piles. Use was very common in the 70's, before some of the more sophisticated chemicals came on the market. They were made much as you described, but used some type of 'poly' rope to do the wiping.
