MF Baler trouble....update

I'm using poly twine (Bridon brand). After spending some time with my face in a manual yesterday, I went out this morning with a handful of tools. The left knotter has a broken part on the bill hook which prevents it from grabbing the twine then letting it go at the proper time. Instead it just wraps around the base of the knotter and the twine snaps. The right knotter also had a wad of twine wrapped around the base, but it appears to be more a case of needing a good cleaning. Now the bad news: New knotter assembly $917 or new bill hook assembly $227. Special order and wait. Meanwhile the hay (which is VERY dry) lays on the ground. I'll be looking for a neighbor who might want to lend me a baler for a couple of hours or do it for me to get me by this time. Then I'll be ordering a bill hook assembly and spending time trying to disassemble a knotter assembly (easy) and put it back together (there's the trick). Ah, this is fun isn't it?

There are NO ag salvage yards within 200 miles. Does anyone know of a MF baler being parted out that might have a useable knotter available? Thanks for any tips.

Small item, you can call up the national salvage yards & get one shipped to you for cheap.

Buy another MF baler for parts - around _here_ that would be cheaper than the new bill hook!

Why yes I do, and they ship UPS. They have an MF 124 on their list. These guys specialize in MF tractor and machinery parts.
