I recently acquired a Moline 2-Bottom Pull-Type Plow. I am wondering how I can identify the model number, obtain a manual, find the color scheme, etc. to restore it.

Things I know about the plow: It's marked MOLINE on two members and V5919 on another (is this the model number?). One of the blades has MNP-14 cast onto its backside. It is a pull-type plow with metal spoke wheels and rubber tires. It has two long adjustment levers and a pull cord for releasing the blades back into the ground. The wheels appear to have a smidge of yellow paint on them, but the rest of the plow has a light coating of rust - can't tell the color.

Any information would be very helpful!

My dad had a 2 14 Moline that I took with me when I left on my own. The wheels are indeed yellow and the rest entire red. Go to the tractor chat line and ask what the specific colors were m,oline red andf yellow. They can help you. The blades you spoke of are a combination of the lower part being the plow share, and the upper part being the moldboard. The part running from the tip of the share to the backside of the moudboard is the landslide, or landside. The discs, if yours has them are called rolling cutters. Theright wheel, looking at it fro the hitch is the trip wheel, and a trip rope is hooked to the trip and attached carefully so that the rope can detach from the trac5tor easily if tractor and plow beome seperated. The other wheel is the furrow wheel. In lining up your tractor to pull it, the inside of the tractor wheel should line up with the inside of the furrow wheel when they are in a straight line. Take a long board to take a mesurment of this. Your levers will need to be set some deeper when making your first furrow, but you will set them back down when you make the rest as your furrow wheel is now in a furrow. Hope this helps
