Neighbor has a J.D. 1207 moco that he is having some trouble with. It has just been rebuilt and cuts great, but it leaves too much stalk standing. Can't seem to figure out how to adjust the cutter bar height. Anybody know where we can get a manual, or some advice? Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

May I suggest ordering a copy of TM1284? My copy, which I found on an internet auction service, is dated 28AUG92 and covers the 1207,1209, 1217, and 1219 Mower-Conditioners. It has everything you need to know to REBUILD one, let alone adjust one!

I have just bought from John Deere a complete set of manuals for the 1207 so they can be bought.

Now for a quick answer to the issue at hand, go behind the MoCo and look below the rollers and you will see the adjustments for the two shoes that the mower rides on. Remove the clip key and move them.

You can get one from John Deere.
