Hey, I've got some old chain link and was thinking about making a drag to pull behind the tractor to level with. Anybody got any suggestions? The thing I keep trying to figure out is how to put enough weight on there. What about attaching to 4x4 posts somehow? Thanks!

I made a drag out of several old tired tied together in the shape of the Olympic rings. I use a chain to pull it behind my 3-point 6-1/2 ft disk. I'll try to post a picture if I can make it work!

Do you build a pipe frame and attach the wire to the pipe are how do you make one? I need to build one if they work that good. Will they level plowed ground or smooth out the ridges left by a disc? Let us know how it works.

Used to work for a construction co. and had access to old crusher screen's. They were great for leveling topsoil.

They work great, so do old bed springs with used tires attached for weight.

What about something to attach it to? Assume you'd just make a loop of chain at the front to attach to the draw bar?

Yes, I just use a tow chain with hooks on both ends.

I use a chain link fence for a drag on my food plots. Works very well. If you have enough fence, just roll most of it up and wire it so it won't unroll. It's pretty heavy rolled up.

They've used chain-link fence up here for years when preparing baseball fields before a game. Works great!

Will work fine. Wire old tires on and will be enough weight.
