I have a JD 4430 with dual remotes. I just purchased a 15' Rhino batwing mower. Being relatively new with such large equipment Im not quite sure how to interface the hydraulic system. Each remote on the tractor has 2 connection ports, however each cylinder on the mower only has one hose. And with only 2 remotes and having 3 cylinders will I need another remote? The man I got the mower from also mentioned something about a float valve?

Please help a newbie out.
Thanks
Heath

Unless you're operating under really special circumstances, you don't need a separate circuit for each wing. Just hook'em together (I'll bet they're already plumbed that way). They will then fold up together (well, one may come up faster, but it doesn't matter). One circuit for wings, other circuit for lift. Hook the single hoses into the "up" side of your remotes. Probably want the wings to "float" when down so they can follow contour of ground. Flip the little piece up that's in front of your control lever, allowing lever to override stop and stay forward....in float position.

Thanks that sounds great.

While mowing should I maintain pressure on the lift cylinder or get some type of stop that will keep it at the desired height?

Thanks
Heath

We've always just carried the weight on the cylinder(s).
