I have a Ferguson 3 point side rake model D-EO-20. All teeth on the bars are badly bent. I thought previous owner raked corn stalks,or ?. I've bought new teeth (part no. 668364M1). These teeth must be wrong teeth as have put teeth on first bar and see that teeth are running against the strippers, and hit other bars. The strippers look to be symetrical and straight, so teeth must be wrong. Does anyone know part no. for the correct teeth for rake? Also when was rake made? Serial no. is 15900.

Ken:

I've got both a DEO-25 (now for sale) and a DEO-20 (bought it cuz I wanted the smaller swath). Thought they shared the same teeth--wrong!

Bought new teeth for both from MF dealer. Neither fits exactly right, or at least not like the originals. The -20's teeth are the worst. If you mount them as-is, they'll bend the first time you crank up the tractor (ask me how I know).

But, it is fairly easy to bend the teeth to the same angle as the originals and then they work just fine...just finished raking with the -20 as a matter of fact.

I use two socket wrench handles to bend the teeth. The handles have "hanging holes" in them just the right size to slide over the teeth without too much play. Then I hold one wrench steady at the base of the tooth and use the other as a lever to bend the tooth the right way. Bit of a pain, but it works ok.

good luck,
Tom

I have a Ferguson rake also. I just bought it and haven't had time to look closely at it. I'll look at it tonight. Seems like I remember that the teeth look to be the same design as the teeth on my Massey-Harris-Ferguson #36 ground drive rake. I remember thinking I could just swap teeth if I need to. The pto rake I have needs some other attention before I can use it. I'll post back later or email you.
