The plow has a lever. Does anyone know where I could get a manual for the disc plow?

Your plow sounds like the 300 series. I was able to buy a parts book from john deere but no operators manuel. Your plow should also have a small crank over the front wheel to level the plow.

Does your plow have a lever or a crank to set the depth? The one with a lever is a 300 series a 302 is a two disk model. If it has a crank I think it is a 400 series and it is the newer one of the two. Do you have a picture?

Bob is tops on my list for plow information... Hope he's around. Can you post pictures? Sounds like a disk tiller to me. RayP(MI)

Ray Thanks for the kind words, as much as I have wanted to acquire a disc plow, I have not done so yet and don't have a lot of information in my head about them, If Chris can post some numbers I think one of us can help. I think it must be a disc plow rather than a disc tiller, I don't recall any tillers as small as 2 discs, I think 3 was as small as they go. bob
