I finaly found a good used bush hog, 5ft. ford for my INT. #2424 It`s kind of cosmeticly challanged (what the heck, so am I) but mechanicly sound and all there. I tried it out and it works just fine. took it slow and easy in 1st and 2nd gear. My INT. has a 2 stage clutch and it seems to work just fine. It does take a long time for the mower to spool down though. Do I need an override cluth for saftey? I did not feel that the mower was pushing me around while working. I stopped and started a few times to see how it would act. The mower needs some tlc and is now up on blocks for now. If I need to install the clutch now would be the time. Thanks in advance to all, J.

You'll need one if'n yer mowin in tall & thick brush. It'll save on the mowers gearbox & shear pin. Gives you enough time to raise up when it bogs down. We got one on our 6' bushog an it has saved our'n.

If your tractor has live pto, you don't need the orc - already built into your tractor.
