....to see if it's possible to post something on this board without posting it 2 or 3 times. What's up with all the double posts on this board?

In my case I'm kind of computer illiterate so a double message is just the result of my incompitence.

When I hit the "Post Message" button, it chewed on it a long time without appearing to progress. I think the cause of the double posts is some of us are too impatient and when it doesn't happen right away, we hit the button again. Instead of doing that, just use your back button to go back to the discussion board, then hit your refresh or reload button. Your post will be there.

That's not the problem. I don't hit the Submit button more than once. I hit it once, and it hangs. I back out and go back to the post and it's there at least twice.

That's exactly what I have to do about 50% of the time I post a message - back out of it & reload. Reading messages come up fairly quickly, but posting a message - I think once it gets in it's waiting loop I could be waiting for an hour or more - have taken many bathroom breaks & it's not back up when I'm back up.....

I mentioned it to Kim a while ago, but sounds like I'm the exception to the rule? I was thinking too that it's the reason for so very many double postings at times.

I had an ISP with the same problem. Turns out to be the mail server (smtp) was overloaded.

This is a great site, this is such a minor problem, nothing to get upset over.
