I was wondering how often I need to spray Round Up Ready Soybeans and what is the mixture of Round Up/ water per acre.
Thanks Mark

I spray once. Don't watch the beans so much as watch the weeds so you hit them at the right time. Your rate of Roundup per acre will be determined by what kind of weeds you are targeting. Your water/concentrate ratio to get that rate will be determined by the volume of liquid your sprayer is set to put down on an acre at a given ground speed. I suggest consulting with your local Monsanto representative before attempting to spray.

I agree with Tim-The weeds are the indicator, and if you do not cultivate, oftentimes one application of Roundup (one quart per acre) will handle the weeds all season long. Cultivating activates weed seeds and causes a second flush of growth. Calibrate your sprayer to determine how many gallons per acre you apply, and mix the Roundup accordingly. Maintain constant ground speed and boom pressure.

Never used it, but my understanding is - less water is better with Roundup in many cases?
