I'm getting a ferguson to-20, and have read postings that one should use a overrun pto clutch for a tractor w/o a live pto. CT tractor has them, for about $68.00 it must attach first to pto and then mower shaft to it? Any suggestions, thanks for the help.

You may need to shorten the tumbling shaft on the mower (e.g. between the U-joints) to accomodate the extra length of the PTO clutch.

I noticed less compact clutches for less money from Agri Supply 800-345-0169 www.Ag-Supply.com

I wouldn't try to mow without one. It'll push you into a fence, tree, pond, etc. without it. I have one on my 8N and it makes a tremendous difference in the way it works.

Everything you need to know is on Ron Weber's website:

You have it right. Attach the over ride clutch to your pto shaft, then hook up the drive shaft to the implement to the over ride clutch. This allows the implement (Bush hog for example) to continue to turn when you put in the clutch without pushing the tractor or breaking your pto shaft. The size of the spline (pto shaft) sticking out of the back of your tractor is probably 1 1/8. you'll need to convert to 1 3/8 to run most modern implements and the override clutch can accomplish this for you also. I have a TO-30 and the override clutch works very well on it.
