Have a pair of wooden axles w/spindles and [so I'm told],conversion hubs w/16" rims, from a haywagon. Also have a J.D. cultivator[looks like a sulky],and a hay loader. The only wood on the loader are the bars that teeth are on,that are run from the crank asy. The wood on all these items is there but shot. Are these old implements/parts worth anything? They aren't really in our way,but would like them to have a new home.Haven't tried to advertise yet, don't know what they are worth if much at all.Had thoughts about giving them to local county fair if they would want 'em. I know they aren't worth lots, but hate to see old stuff go for junk. Any thoughts, anybody?

Like you, I hate to see this part of our history destroyed. I have bought a couple of old horse drawn equipment to (eventually) restore and am always looking for more. Most of this stuff sells for about $50. It will bring considerably more if in really good original condition. I have seen many pieces on ebay, but are usually located to far away to make it practical to go get and too expensive to pay to have delivered. A lot of that doesn't even sell at $50, probably for the distance problems of shipment/pickup. You can try advertising locally and see how you do. Where are you located?

The usual problem. Even if I were interested in your pieces, it is a long way from NY to TX.
Determine what you think you would like to get for them and put an ad in a local paper. If the Deere is in fairly good condition and the logos, name, and part numbers are legible, it will be worth more.
Good luck.
