This weekend, while hauling a 45 Farmall M from my grandfather's place, I noticed a NH 76 baler in the fence row. It's complete and in good condition (first looks). I have done a search and see that they have good marks from all those that have posted. It is PTO driven. My uncle thinks there is a parts one also.

My question(s): Needed horsepower? Bale size? Suggestions? Limitations? Availability of manuals/parts?

Thanks!

Mike

if it is pto it may be a model 77 or super 77, the 76 had a canvas to bring the hay up to the feeder and the 77 had teeth, some parts are available and they are heavy so the tractor needs calcium in the rear tires and rear wheel weights to pull it. If you need more help our dealership sold these new and have some parts left. call (717)896-3414 (PA)

Scott-Thanks for the information. I specifically remember a 76 on the right side. It could have been a replacement panel. In the search on 76's, someone said it was a left pickup, but this one isn't. Is there a SN plate somewhere? I will try to get out tomorrow and take a photo.

I have a JD 730D (59hp)--should be enough? On Ebay, there is a Super 77 manual--should I get it? Is it close enough? Also, there is a 66 manual up for auction.
