Will an IH 400 cyclo planter plant pumpkin seeds??

I have a chance to purchase an IH 400 cyclo planter to use for my sweet corn and pumpkin farm. But I want to know if the planter will plant pumpkin seeds. The owners manual shows a drum for popcorn and sunflowers, and it is stll available. I'm wondering if anyone has tried this and could be of any help?? The new drum is $300, so I really want to be sure before I buy. Also, I am assuming I can use the rubber bands on 3 rows and only plant one row at a time. Is this correct?? Thanks for the help!!

Not to be nosy but how much do they want for that 400 Cyclo? I just got one at an auction for $100,the only problem is the metering wheels for the granular insecticide are brittle and breaking into pieces.I 'm not sure if this is common -does anyone know? I'm also interested in the pumpkin seeds,I've got the corn and the bean drums I just need sunshine and dry weather! Good luck ,BillJ

the granular metering wheels were only good for 2 years if you were lucky.

Sorry I don't know about pumpkin seeds on an air planter, but as to price, yea the 400 is not worth much at auctions around here - couple 100 bucks for even an 8 row is common. There are 800s being used, and 900s & above are still liked, but those 400s & 500s seem to be a dead market.

They are asking 300. It's in excellent condition and comes with seed metering system.
