Jagg, The model H is a great little spreader.I have #34076. You don't want a parts manual, it's a waste of money. The operators manual is still available from John Deere as OMC1651 and it has all of the part numbers in the back! Good luck with your spreader..

I've tried twice to order that operator's manual and all I've gotten is a single sheet of paper that looks like an update to the parts manual.

I don't feel the parts manual is useless, the exploded views are handy when disassembling and repairing things. If I could only have one or the other, I'd certainly rather have the operators manual tho.

Have you actually gotten one from JD, or just seen it in their parts fiche?

JD has the parts manual. It's PCC63 (7-56). I think their part number is DIR86A. I never have found an operators manual. JD has the specific parts like bearings and such. They even had the little springs that hold the pawls up against the ratchets on the drive wheels.

Generic parts like apron chains are cheaper through Central Tractor or someone like that.
