I have a ford 151 2 bottom plow I have set everything I know by the book {at least I thought}.They enter the ground great and turn over the ground good but I seem to be leaving a gap of about 8 inches unplowed between the furrows, one and two bottom. When I look at the front point of the front bottom and the back rear of the second plow bottom{standing behind the plow}I see the gap they do not lap close enough together. Is the mold boards bottoms wrong size?

Are your rear tires set out too wide? The inside of the rear tire that rides in the furrow should only be a inch or two further out than the the trailing edge of the first plow share.

I thank everybody ,I checked the frame beams etc nothing bent. The plow will leave 8 inch of grass when opening up new area enters ground good turns over sod all the way , plowing 8 inches or more deep looking back there it is grass between the two furrows at the surface about 4 to six inches tapering down to the full depth about 8 inches or more untouched. I do not have a rolling landside wheel it was gone frame still there will that make the difference on a 3pt hitch hook up. I pull with a fully restored to 30 ferguson more power then I need to use does great. There is one item I have been looking at and that is the spacing adjustmentwhich is the rod that pulls on the plow draw bar. By loosening the inside nut and thightening the outside this increases the width of cut, the reverse to decrease the cut. Mine is now set all the way out on the rod that may mean I need to go in on the nuts > next try.

Biggest problem I found with the rolling depth wheel being missing is it is hard to keep the tractor lined up. One plow I have has no depth wheel but has a ral long landside on the outer bottom which accomplishes the same purpose. If the plow is leaving ground between bottoms I don't think there is much adjustment. I would suspect the shares are wrong and too short. Problem is it is sometimes hard to find shares for these older plows. good luck, nothing feels so good as to see the ground roll over right and noting is so frustrating as when it doesn't.

I have a JD 416 that has a lever on the front to adjust cutting width, and it will do what your plow is doing when it is set to full width and the furrow wheel starts to ride up the sidewall. Try welding a heavy, long piece of flat plate on the last landside to replace the missing furrow wheel, and then narrow up the cut, and try, try again.

Measure across the beams on the top of the plow. This will give you the width of cut the plow was made for. Then your dealer can tell from the numbers on the moldboard if the are the right ones.

Make sure your plow is adjusted properly. There are adjustments to make to make the plow cut properly. The plow has to be angled to make the furrow. Usually, the adjustment is with the three point attach area...
Good luck

The main beams could be sprung.

Is it unplowed or is it not turning over the furrow completely. Some plows need a mold board extention to completely turn over the furrow if you plow too deep.

If everything seems to be rite, parts-wise... I would check to be sure the plow is set to run straight...It sounds like the trail wheel, or landslide is not set to run against the furrow side-letting the plow "Heel"...Those rear land-slides, or wheels should have some pressure on them, to counter the push of the moldboards... 8" is an awful lot, though... The plow should be turning only about as much as the shears are wide, in cutting width.. Don't mistake the "Length" of the shear for Cutting Width....The shear runs at an angle, so it cuts LESS than it's length..

Try to find part numbers on the back side of the moldboards and plowshares, and compare them with the parts book or at a dealer. Sounds like something has been switched. The unplowed area is way too wide. The plowshare should at least undercut everything.
