Little genuis clutch problems

I got my little genuis #8 rice plow home today. That is a story I will relate after work. I got out the oliver to check how it works, even though it is kinda muddy. It trips in plenty fine, but it has a LOT of trouble tripping back out. It will grab for a second but it loses it before it gets it all the way up. You gotta drive in circles for 10 minutes to get it to come up. Has anyone ever taken the clutch on one of these things apart? How complicated are they? What all is in there? I have another plow that we used last year, but I broke a casting on it trying to fix it and it has a crack in each moldboard. I would like to use the new one this year if possible. Any ideas? Does anyone know where I can find a manual for it, as well as a manual for the cultivators designed for an Oliver 70?

Thanks in Advance,
Mike

I agree with Chuck. I have a Minneapolis Moline field cultivator that I had the same problem with. When I pulled the wheel off of the clutch side, it was packed full of old grease and dirt. I cleaned all of the old stuff off and gave it a squirt of WD-40 and it worked fine.

If you have an operator manual for your plow, it will probably tell you to clean the clutch once a year.

There is probably to much grease in the clutch or grease that is hard. Take it apart and clean it. It is not that hard to do.
