I have heard about a lot of different JD suare balers, but the 324T is a new one. Lineage as I remember it was 14t & 214t/214w, 24t & 224t/224w, 336/346, 327,337,347, and currently produced 328/338/348 balers. There was also a 323 baler which was made around 1960, had three wires, was 16x18 and was super heavy duty. There were also the 466 and 467 super heavy duty balers.

If your baler is in fact a 24t or a 224t, those balers were built in the 60s. A baler that has been stored inside can still have a number of things wrong with it. May I suggest looking at it (closely) tomorrow. Also, if you do a search in the space provided at the top of the page, enter JOHN DEERE BALERS, you should get lots of help and pointers (I have provided several myself)

Good luck!
