Tiller gear oil?

I just bought a Long rototiller at a local farm auction (not sure of the model # yet), but I'd like to change the gear oil. Does anyone know what weight is recommended and possibly what quantity it holds? I'll post more once I determine the model. It's 60" long.

Is there a web site for Long equipment?

The tempature is hot down in our area. I have a friend that uses grease in the gearbox on his rotary mower. The box was getting hot with 90 weight so he just filled it with grease from his greasegun. Runs smooth and doesn't get hot. As F14 said, 90 weight is o.k. Good luck.

I've used ordinary 80/90 gear oil in the gearbox and chaincase on my Howard since it was new. Works fine for me.
