I am interested in "cleaning-up" around my property. This would entail raking about 4-acres of grass area. Not all open field, some trees to navigate. I was considering a hay rake to assist with the chore. Northern Tool has both a tow behind and a 3-pt version with the rotating wire wheels. I plan to look into used equipment also. Any thoughts or advice?

If your just planning on cleaning up around the place and not selling or feeding the grass I would just get a bush-hog type mower to cut it with. If you really want to keep it down with little to no work I would put up a light duty electric fence and find someone who has sheep or goats. Tell them they can pasture for free. The livestock will do all the work for you. :-)
