I got a Sickle Bar Cutter JD Mod.#20 7ft bar with a 1951 JD MT Tractor today. It was in a pile and taken apart, dose anyone have a picture of one together or know where I can get some information on how it goes together? Mark H.

I sure wish we weren't half way across the country from each other. I'd love to help you with that M-20. My family has had one on a M since about 1951 and I still have it. The operators manual number is OM-H31-251. To start with, that shaft on the back of the mower frame goes in the jaws that are just below the clutch-brake pedals. The U shaped piece goes on the clutch housing. Don't use too long bolts, they will lock up the flywheel. Contact me if I can help.

JD probably still has an operator's manual and parts catalog available. They will help a lot for re-assembly.
