Our compression roller which has rubber on it is going bad. does anyone have any ideas how to keep it from further destruction? We still use it every year and really enjoy baling this way. thanks for any suggestions. It is an old allis-chalmers.

There's probably nothing you can do to keep it from getting worse, but since Rotobalers are pretty inexpensive you can probably buy a replacement baler pretty cheap or buy a parts baler with a better roller. Around here a Rotobaler in working condition goes for $50 to $150.
