I have a Ferguson DEO-25 (I think that's the model number)side delivery PTO rake. Does anyone know the approximate year of this implement? I also need about a dozen of the pick-up fingers (not really sure what they are actually called) I'm on the West coast so some of the tractor places I see folks talking about don't exist out here. Any help would be appreciated.

Does anyone know if the rubber mounted tines are made for these rakes?

Hi,

I am trying to find out when the old hayrake was made and some history on it. Do you happen to have any info?

Thanks Mary

When I called the dealer, she said the model showed up with both steel and rubber mounted tines and asked which I wanted.

The price info I mentioned below was for steel.

Chief:

Back again with an update.

I just hung up with a Massey Ferguson dealer (not my lousy local one, but just down the road a bit). They told me MF stocks them in their regional warehouse in Harrisburg PA, and said they'd have mine in tomorrow or Thursday. $1.02 apiece, but the minimum order is 25. So if you've got a local MF dealer, let them know they do in fact have the parts.

These guys will have your pickup teeth. If your not sure of the model send them an old one and let them pick out the right ones. I would order 50% more then you need just to have spares.

Hey Chief:

The DEO 25 was made, as I understand, from the mid-40s. Sometime after Ferguson got bought out by Massey, they continued production, though they changed the model number after the first year or so.

Last year, I was able to get a xerox copy of the old manual through AGCO--I emailed their corporate HQs and one of their reps contacted me. Took him a couple of weeks, but he found the manual and had it sent to me.

I, too, need some teeth for mine (I actually have two almost identical Ferguson rakes--a DEO 25 and a DEO 20) but haven't started looking actively yet. My local MF dealer hasn't been very helpful finding anything for it so I'm going to try another dealer as soon as I get time.

good luck. If you find anybody that does mail order, please let me know.
Tom

cheif,,,,I got some rake teeth for my deo 20 from the local Massey store,,,,they're an old style tooth,,,,the little 'crook' on the end of the tooth that bolts to the rake bar had to be pounded straight on an anvil to get the correct angle,,,take an old tooth to them and see if they can match it up,,,(size and style wise,,,),,,they work just fine and are inexpensive to buy,,,I think that I even found them at the local TSC store!,,,,good luck!,,,(the deo 20 is a good and reliable rake,,,,we've used mine every year,,,for the past 35 of them!)
