I have an Oliver model 82 sickle bar mower that has some worn out/broken parts on it. I picked up a parts book (original) at a tractor show this summer, and have finally got some time to mess with the mower. What is the current name of the brand that used to be Oliver (buyout/combining of brands) and can that dealer get new parts/pieces-or is there a better place to get them.

Last summer bought an Oliver model 82 at an auction. Used it just alittle in the fall but semed to work well. I was able to buy an owner manual for this model at local AGCO dealer, it did take them about 2 weeks to find a place for them get it. Not much help with repair or parts. And not very reasonably priced. It basically talked about general use. The same info could be gotten from about any mower manual. Most cutterbar parts can be found at places like TSC. Reference numbers are not generlly available but parts to work can be found by comparing. I would be interested in getting a copy of your parts list if possible. Thanks.

AGCO. Their brand heritage includes Allis-Chalmers (and Gleaner), White (which includes Oliver, Minneapolis-Moline, and Cockshutt), New Idea, Hesston, Farmhand, Tye, Glencoe, and Massey-Ferguson.
