Can anyone give me a ballpark idea about how many $$$$ to offer for a JD Model 44 (I think that's the model) 2 btm trip plow? Needs two new tires. Shares, shins, etc. are good. Needs new tail wheel, no coulters. Frame and tongue OK. What should I offer?
Thanks

Paid $35 for a No. 44 trip at an auction a couple of months ago here in Nebraska. Good shape except for the tires.

Before you purchase this plow, go price two new colters. Also check with a few of the machinery boneyards to see what they want for a couple of good used colters. I think you will find that the value of this plow isn't much. Also you may have a hard time finding a tail wheel for it ( I assume you mean the rim and tire are missing).

Around here, not more than $75 in that condition.

Dave: Here in west central ohio, Clem's $75 is pretty much on it. I bought 2x14 model 44-hyd lift-needed land side tire only-everything else good for $125 (six years ago-private sale).Hope this helps a little. Location plays a BIG factor on pricing. rickm
