While looking for parts and manual (without much luck) for an Oliver 4340 trailer plow, I stumbled across a site selling Tile Plows. Didn't mention what they were used for just had a pic and parts. Are these used for field drainage or what? Just curious.

Basicaly its a subsoiler with a pipe going down the back of shank to insert the plastic pipe. Never did it myself but talked to a fabricator who made a prototype and was testing it. He said they made 2 or 3 passes in the same ditch to get the propper depth then another pass to put in the pipe. lots of horse power needed to pull one.

Yup, it puts in plastic tile for drainage. Used to be a big wheel digger was hired to put in concrete tile. But now that farmers have thousands of acres and a big 4 wheel drive tractor, it's cheaper for some to buy their own plow rig & put in their own.

Works likw the little vibrating rigs the utility comanies use to put in underground wire, only it doesn't vibrate & takes a whole lot more power to put in up to 6" tile or so...
