I have an old Cole duplex 1 row planter, this machine has two bins and two seed plates. You can plant two different crops at the same time or use one at a time. I guess you can get plates for corn for each side and fll both hoppers. this is what i want to do. The right one spins counterclockwise and left clockwise. I want to plant about 4 acres of corn, a sales company in atlanta has several plates. Which size (large medium or small seed) and row spacing should I get. Does the plates alternate so that one drops a seed and then the other? I also want to plant some peanuts and lima beans of about 4 200 foot rows. I do have these but wonder whitch variety does the best in labor after planting. Any help or advice would be appreciated.

thanks

The Grade size of the seed corn determines the size of plate used. Med flat would use a different size of plate than a large flat.
