Hello; I have a TO-30 Tractor and do not know the lifting abilities of the rear hydralics. They are good and will hold up for 20 hrs after engine is off and do not drop when using unless you want them to. You can control them within a 1/4in with the lever. I was hoping I could lift a 850lb. bale with it? All I want to do is move them around, not lots of them I am a Gentlemen Farmer (ha-ha) and my 16yr old daughter is the Rancher around here she has 6 steers and I haft to keep building Barns, Water Systems, Pastures ECT. ECT. ECT. But it is fun!! I also would want her doing this instead of playing computer games! (and chasing boys too)! I just kind of need to know the limits of this tractor for this kind of work. Also to keep up pastures equipment for roughing up the groung for seeding, brush mowing (size of mower). Now that I got the Tractor I just want to get some work out of her more than doing my driveway, clearing snow and grading fire trails! Thanks, Mark H.

I have a Ford 850. The hydraulics will pick up almost 1200 lbs, but as said by others, the front end starts to come up. Weight in the front of the tractor will help. I believe the hydraulics are up to the weight but you won't be able to scoot around real fast. Take it slow and careful. I have to steer with the brakes with that much weight on the 3 point.

Haven't ever worked with a TO-30, but have worked with 8N Fords which I think are nearly the same. I don't know it will safely carry a 850lbs. round bale, as it would most likely put the front end of the tractor in the air, but you may be able to add front end weight to control it? I think it has a Catagory 1 three point as that is what an 8N has, but I could be wrong.

Used to have a Fergie 30 and the 2N ford I still have, hade a homemade platform on the hitch, exact same parts as ford, cat 1, would put 8, 10 gal. milk cans on platform, fill with water to haul to hogs, would stand on raised platform to dump cans across fence into hog fountain, bale may be faurther back tho and cut your lifting cap.
