Also, if possible, try to buy equipment that is still widely used as you will find a much stronger demand for parts. For example in our area, there are still a lot of the older pull type haybines in use, especially New Hollands- 469's, 479's, 489's, etc. If you could buy them right, you could pay for the entire machine from the sale of one part and from then on the rest would be profit.

Yes, there is. Sell it in the picture classifieds on this site, or on e-Bay. Stuff to look for: pull-type combines (there is an especially high demand for AC All-Crop parts), corn pickers, any grain drill of any make that has a good set of openers on it, balers, corn planters. Sometimes at sales you may run into NOS plow parts for the old style long-nose fitted shares. Doesn't matter the manufacturer (but be sure you know whose plow it fits so you can sell it), those style shares, shins and moldboards are worth $$$.

A lot of those parts aren't available as new or aftermarket. But, as you know, there is an investment in stripping and selling.

A lot of the boneyards around here (Denver) leave the tractors, etc. laying out int the weather so tin and body panels go to he((, and heads, blocks, trannys fill with water, and rust away.
