I just picked up an Oliver plow at an auction and was wondering what type it is? It is a 12"/2 bottom on steel. If looking from the hitch end it has a racket lever adjuster on the right hand side and a crank adjuster on the left hand side. The coulters have what looks like a small plow bottom on a shaft on each. Also what colors was it painted? Hope to have it restored by spring. All help will be useful. Thanks.

You may have an Oliver Plowmaster 100. Mine raises and lowers with a "rooster comb" lever that drops onto a ratchet on the right hub (looking forward from the back). A crank adjusts depth, and a lever with notched latches adjusts yaw. The paint color on mine is all red, with yellow wheels. This is the same red (wheels) and yellow (grill) as used on Oliver 70's. My plow dates back to probably 1945. It has two 14-inch plows on it and is designed for an Oliver 70. The thing plows great. Plow points are generally available. The thing will work the heck out of you in rocky soil! It hitches to a loop-like device that bolts onto the drawbar. You tie a rope in the hole on the hitch to re-hitch if it pulls loose (spring adjustment) when snagging a rock. Happy plowin!
