Re quesiton on wheel spacing on page 2, is the JDf145 the same as the F45? Borrowed one from a friend, is a 3 bottom with one left off. Should the spacing be 30 inches, center of tractor to center of tire? have it about there but still looks a bit wide. Haven't used a 3 pt plow before, always a trailer. Thanks for any help

I don't think I have ever run across an f45 plow. The f125, f135, f145 plows are from about 1961(?) and I know that the f1450 replaces them. I suspect what you have may be an f145. Positive identification of some of this equipment, especially if the sn tag is long gone, can be something of a mystery. If the paint and decals were not complete, it might be easy to miss a number or two or three.

There was a previous series of 3 point mounted plows, the 810 for example, which came out with the 20 and 30 series two cylinder tractors.

The f125 was a 3 point, fully mounted plow. The f135 and f145 plows were the same except that the f145 had safety trip standards while the f135 had stiff, solid standards. Both could come with 3,4,5 or 6 bottoms, and were semi-integral plows.

Only id I could find on the plow was by the rear on the frame, left side, says F45. It was 3 bottom and has trip standards. Has a rear steel guage wheel. It is 3 pt hitch. On the right side is a threaded bolt with a hook in the end taht twists to adjust it for the running on top, for the first round, and then to readjust for running in the furrow on the next rounds. Not sure if it is 14 or 16 inch bottoms. Would that have 30 inch spacing to right tire center from center of tractor? Have it on a Super MTA Farmall. Are these a good plow? Most plows in our are are roll over 2 way plows. Soil here is tougher so you have to figure 1 bottom less than other places for a particular tractor.
