hello out there, i am having a bit of trouble here. i recently acquired a plow and planter and plow from my great grandfathers estate. i was able to identify the plow and restore it. now i am stumped on the planter matter. i know it is a john deere but what model. it is a two row planter on rubber. it is mechanical lift and has a hitch like a tie rod end on it . what i mean by tie rod end like is it has a ball and socket hitch on it and itis like a bolt on the ball that goes through the draw bar and has a nut that tightens down to keep it attached. a nieghbor told me that if it is two row but not horse drawn it is more than likely a "290". but i want to know for sure. i would appreciate it if you can help me clear this up. Brad
